I started HAMing as an SWL at the age of 13. I have an HF C licence and apart from Packet Radio activity, I only work in the HF bands, almost every day. I like CW the most, but I'm good at the modern digital modes - mostly PSK and HELL - too. I can't afford to buy every piece of equipment, so I also work as a constructer. I made all the equipment of my station except the PC and the FT990.
I've been workin' as a photo reporter at the local newspaper for 12 years, so because of all the event - filled weekends I can only participate in 5 -6 contests a year, though if I had the time, I would spend every weekend in front of the radio...
